Je me suis assise par terre a coté de Léo et j'ai commencé a transférer des grosses perles d'un bocal a l'autre a l'aide d'une pince.
I sat on the floor next to Leo and started to use tongs to transfer large beads from one jar to another.
Il m'a observée quelques secondes sans rien dire avant de demander a essayer. Je lui ai passé la pince et il a essayé d'attraper une perle dans le petit bocal. Il a essayé autant qu'il a pu puis m'a dit qu'il n'y arrivait pas.
He observed me for a few seconds with saying a word before he asked for a turn. I passed him the tongs and he tried to grab a bead from the small jar. He tried as much as he could and then told me he could not do it.
J'ai alors eu une autre idée. J'ai renversé les perles sur le tapis et lui ai montré comment mettre une perle dans le petit bocal, une autre dans le grand, une dans le petit, une dans le grand, et ainsi de suite jusqu'a ce qu'il n'y ait plus de perles.
I then had a different idea. I poured the beads onto the floor and I showed him how to put one bead in the small jar, one in the large jar, one in the small jar, one in the large jar, and so on until all the beads have been used.
Le point d'intéret pour cette version du transfert a la pince, c'est les sons que produisent les perles en tombant dans les deux bocaux différents. Le souvenir du dernier son entendu aide l'enfant a savoir dans quel bocal mettre la prochaine perle.
The point of interest for this version of tongs transfer is the sounds that the beads make when they fall into the two different jars. Remembering the last sound heard helps the child to know which jar to put the next bead into.
